Tamarind Brasserie Restaurant has closed its Dari Business Park branch effective immediately, the Tamarind Group announced Monday in a press release.
The closure was attributed to “an ongoing dispute between Dari Limited and the East African Development Bank,” which has left Tamarind Management Limited unable to access the premises.
“We have been compelled to close the Tamarind Brasserie Restaurant located at Dari Business Park,” wrote Gerson M Misumi, Chairman of Tamarind Management Limited. “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.” read statement issued by the business on Tuesday.
Other Tamarind Venues Unaffected
The Tamarind Group emphasized that all other establishments under its portfolio remain fully operational. The group, established in 1972, operates several well-known Nairobi restaurants and coastal resorts.
The Dari Business Park branch had been a popular lunch and dinner spot for professionals in the area, known for its seafood and brasserie-style menu.
No timeline was given for the reopening at a new location. Customers with existing bookings are advised to contact Tamarind Management directly.
