PesaPal Unveils Pesapal Sabi POS To Complete Payments Via M-Pesa

Electronic payments firm Pesapal has Launched an M-Pesa tap and go pay feature to allow customers to pay for goods and services with ease.

The Supertap platform enables Pesapal mobile users to simplify Mpesa payments at the thousands of merchants using Pesapal Sabi POS machines.

Customers can now tap their phones on Pesapal Sabi POS machines to complete Mpesa payments.

Supertap eliminates the lengthy process at the counter where customers are required to key in till numbers or give cashiers their phone numbers to complete payments.

“Pesapal has been a pacesetter in offering affordable, convenient, and secure digital financial services to customers and merchants to drive sustainable growth in Africa,” Pesapal said on its website.

“Over the years, Pesapal has been improving its infrastructure to ensure seamless payment processes,” the firm added.

For a customer to use Supertap, they must download and install the Pesapal Mobile App on their android handset.

Once they have Pesapal Mobile, they add their Mpesa number enabling them to make payments by tapping on a Pesapal Sabi POS.

Supertap can be used in sectors that accept mobile money, such as retail, hospitality, bars, and restaurants among others.

After the cashier has tallied up the items to sell, they will enter the amount paid on the Pesapal Sabi POS machine and then select the Supertap option.

The customer will tap his mobile phone on the machine and enter their Mpesa pin on their phone to complete the transaction. Once approved, it will print a customer and merchant receipt to confirm the payment was successful.

Pesapal is working to working on adding Visa, Mastercard, Bank accounts, and licensed Digital Credit Providers as payment methods on Pesapal Mobile.
