Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has stated that the Gikuyu, Embu, Meru, and Akamba (GEMA) communities will be the driving force behind Kenya’s next government, with or without the support of veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga.
He expressed his confidence that the next government that aims to take over from Kenya Kwanza, will be led by personalities from the dubbed ‘GEMA’ communities.
“GEMA ndiyo dawa ya Kenya. GEMA itaunda the next government,” Gachagua stated.

The DP who was impeached in October last year, explained that Ruto’s political influence is currently dependent on Raila Odinga’s support insisting that President Ruto will struggle to retain the presidency in the next election.
“Life support machine ya Ruto ni Raila saa hii. Akizima, amekwisha,” he claimed, predicting, “Ruto atakuwa number 3 ama number 4 2027.”
Gachagua further called upon the GEMA to unite as GEMA and ascend to power for the next 100 years, starting in 2027.
“I do not understand Raila’s intentions; it is his choice whether he wants to be with Ruto and water down his political legacy or join the side of liberating this country,” Gachagua replied.
“Ruto is not getting a vote from the 9 million Kenyan Gen Zs, so whether Raila is with him or not, we will defeat him. Kenyans have already decided Ruto must go home and want a new government that serves them,” he continued to assert.
