Fintech Association Of Kenya appoints Andrew Barden to the board of directors

Fintech Association Of Kenya an umbrella organization representing financial technology (Fintech) companies has announced the appointment of Andrew Barden to serve on the board of directors.

Andrew Barden is the CEO of The Kenyan Wall Street, Lead Organizer, and Content Director at the Africa Fintech Summit.

Heading the Investment and Funding Committee, Andrew will drive connections between Kenyan fintech startups and investors.

The organization says that Barden has a wealth of experience in fostering strategic partnerships within the fintech sector which will help FINTAK drive the growth of Kenya’s fintech sector.

“His insights, network, and expertise in driving fintech thought leadership and catalyzing strategic partnerships will be invaluable as we strengthen FINTAK’s governance and advance the growth of Kenya’s fintech sector,” said FINTAK Chairperson Duncun Motanya.

While acknowledging his appointment, Barden said, “I am passionate about fostering collaboration, innovation, and strategic funding initiatives that propel Kenyan fintech startups to greater heights. I look forward to working with the FINTAK team on this shared mission.”

As a board member, Barden will lead FINTAK’s Investment and Funding Committee and also focus on connecting emerging fintech startups with investors, organizing fundraising events, and advocating for increased access to funding within the Kenyan fintech ecosystem.

The Fintech Association of Kenya (FINTAK) serves as a resource and forum for education, information sharing, and networking between companies, policymakers, other associations, and members of the public.
