Eric Omondi Vows to Demonstrate 14-Day Nonstop Starting Easter Monday

Just a few days after his arrest while demonstrating at CBD against high cost of living, King of East African comedy Eric Omondi has boldly vowed to kick off a 14-day protest starting Easter Monday.

He insisted that his demonstrations are here to stay for as long as the government will not give him deaf ears.

Upon honouring an interview session with Hot 96 on Thursday, the funnyman aired his voice further stating that it pains him as a patriotic citizen of this country to see fellow countrymen stricken by hunger.

In his demands, he asks the government to act promptly to lower the cost of living.

He explained,

I will fight for the Wanjikus. It is not easy because the messages I receive, it’s getting crazier every day. I was once told that (Children have not eaten for three days). How is that even possible?”

Since day one of his protests, Eric Omondi has always been arrested and charged with causing chaos and organizing unlawful assembly.

He got arrested on February 21 alongside 17 others and on March 1, he was arrested again while distributing unga to Kenyans at City Stadium.

Last week he also got arrested while heading to the State House. Eric Omondi was caught while pulling a wooden cart full of papers and he claimed those were thousands of CVs of youths looking for jobs.

He explained that he was taking them to the statehouse to be considered.

Can he be the mouthpiece of millions of Kenyans claiming that high cost of living hits hard to them at the moment?
