Wetangula To Raila: It’s Time To Write The Final Chapter Of Your Legacy

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula has cautioned Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition leader Raila Odinga against holding bi-weekly protests and instead focus on molding his legacy.

Wetangula while speaking during a thanksgiving service at Silungai Primary School in Malava, Kakamega county on Saturday, April 1, 2023, stated that Raila’s enduring years in politics are cluttered with not being able to accept defeat and if he continues, the trait can significantly define his legacy.

According to Wetangula, by leading the Azimio demos Raila is allegedly coping out of his promise to respect the Supreme Court ruling that upheld President William Ruto’s August polls victory.

“Relax, my brother; you went to court and the verdict was that you did not win. You said you did not accept the verdict but you would respect it. What you are doing now is the complete opposite of what you promised. You should be now writing the final chapter of your legacy.” He said.

Wetangula added that the narrative that Raila is building might also profile his family who would love to step into his shoes and keep his political career going.

“Your kids and grandkids will vie for elective seats at some point, don’t give them a profile,” he stated.

He further urged leaders, including former president Uhuru Kenyatta to help restore peace in the country.
