In order to formally inaugurate the 16th Annual General Meeting and Africa Prosecutors Association Conference in Mombasa, President William Ruto has arrived.
At the summit, which has drawn attendees from 43 African nations, the President and his entourage arrived on Monday at 10:30. Among those with him were Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Hajj, Solicitor General Kennedy Ogeto, and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Midavadi.
The office of the director of public prosecution is hosting the conference for the first time in Kenya. 2023’s conference will take place from January 29 to February 2nd. Strengthening Coordination and Cooperation Toward Effective Cross-Border Prosecution of Transnational Organized Crime is the conference’s theme.
To improve collaboration between African authorities and prosecution agencies, the Africa Prosecutors’ Association was founded in 2003. It also addresses the growing transnational organized crime in Africa, which threatens peace, stability, good governance, and development on the continent.
