ODM lawmakers led by Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma have pledged to rally behind President William Ruto in 2027, affirming their corporation with the Kenya Kwanza regime.
Speaking on Sunday 27, at Moiben, Uasin Gishu county after accompanying President Ruto for a church service together with a host of other MPs, Kaluma emphasized on the unity of the nation which is the reason for the formation of the broad-based government.
“As ODM party we are here to stay in President William Ruto’s government and we will help u by all means secure a second term in 2027…The people of Rift Valley & Nyanza we are brothers, we both came from Egypt/Sudan,” said the lawmaker.

Kaluma who is Ruto’s close ally in the Nyanza region, told the doubters that ODM are fully part of the broad-based government, asking the President to fully involve them in his governance.
He further appreciated Ruto for being selfless to support Raila Odinga in his quest for the chairmanship of AUC.
“Give us more because we are your prodigal sons. Let me thank you for the support you’re giving our party leader to be the chairman of the AUC,” he further stated.

A day before, Kaluma hit out at impeached Rigathi Gachagua claiming he has been leading the country astray since ascending to power.
His sentiments were on Saturday 26th echoed by Rangwe MP, Lilian Gogo who spoke in her constituency saying, “Kenya is one and everybody has the freedom of residing, working, eating and sleeping anywhere in Kenya,” adding that leaders must have respect to the offices they hold
