Saboti Member of Parliament, Caleb Amisi, has said that Rigathi Gachagua has only himself to blame for his downfall, following his impeachment by both the National Assembly and the Senate last week.
In a viral tweet shared on his social platforms, the outspoken legislator added that Gachagua had been set up by President Ruto to insult Raila Odinga and former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to Amisi, Gachagua’s troubles began when he failed to detect the perception of the situation and instead carried out this assignment aggressively.
Amisi further stated that in politics, one must be very intelligent and use their own wisdom to detect malice and deceit early on.
“You were set up by Ruto to abuse Raila and Uhuru, an assignment you executed viciously. That was the beginning of your downfall. Blame no one else but your inability to detect ‘perception.’ In politics, just like in war, learn to fire in the air even when ordered to shoot to kill! It’s a dangerous game—no permanent friends, no permanent enemies! Kenya needs a Renaissance,” said Amisi.
The Deputy President, who made a public appearance yesterday after being discharged from Karen Hospital, fired back at his boss, accusing him of disliking people who tell him the truth.
Gachagua claimed that this was the reason he was being targeted. He also added that his security detail and chase cars had been withdrawn, despite a court order preventing his removal from office.
Gachagua’s replacement, Kithure Kindiki, has already been nominated and approved by the National Assembly and is set to be sworn in next week.
