DCI : Autopsy For Mutilated Bodies Discovered in Kware To Be Done On Monday

The Director of Criminal Investigations, Dr. Ibrahim Yami, has said that an autopsy for the mutilated bodies will be done on Monday.

Amin stated that specialists drawn from the DCI homicide unit are actively investigating the incident that shocked the country, where nine human bodies were discovered at the Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga, Nairobi.

The bodies were severely mutilated and wrapped in nylon papers, with some chopped into pieces. So far, nine bodies have been retrieved from the site.

According to the DCI, they are exploring various possibilities, including cult involvement, serial killings, or rogue medics. He assured the public that investigations are ongoing, and persons of interest have been identified.

We have persons of interest whom we have identified. We’ve also interviewed the family that said they dreamt about their missing sister.” said Amin.

Acting Director General Kanja also cautioned the public that they have put measures in place to ensure enhanced security and have transferred the police officers stationed at Kware as part of their measures to avert such cases in the future.

Yesterday, residents wanted to storm the police after they accused the police of laxity, despite the station being located in close proximity to the dumpsite. They were, however, thwarted by the rapid response team who were at the scene.

Authorities are urging cooperation from witnesses and relevant agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice.
