The Judiciary has today corrected Citizen TV and its journalist, Brenda Wanga for misreporting the CAS ruling delivered by the high court yesterday, stating that it was wrong for the station run false and misleading information.
In a statement issued by the arm of the government, Brenda Wanga reported that the Judiciary had redeemed itself by declaring the 50 CAS unconstitutional despite participating in the swearing in of the said secretaries, which according to the statement is false.
“The reporter goes on and claims that the Judiciary swore in the 50 CAS, which is false. The reporter stated that, the Judiciary, long accused of aiding and abetting Executive impunity by participating in the swearing-in of CAS, whose offices have been declared unconstitutional, has redeemed itself from its judgment.’’ read the statement
The judiciary mentioned that they never participated in the swearing in of the administrative secretaries and that the information circulated by the station was false and aimed at discrediting the judiciary, whose duty is to determine the cases as per the law and the constitution.
The body further cautioned the media station to retract any misleading information and set the record straight as duly advised.
