Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa Denies Any Involvement in Northlands Farm Raid.

Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichungwa has defended himself of any involvement in a raid that took place in Northlands farm belonging to former president Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday.

Speaking to journalist today in Nairobi, the National Assembly majority leader Kimani Ichungwa stated that he is open for investigations by the security agencies who can track his mobile phones calls and whereabouts a day before the demonstrations.

“If I am involved, the DCI should investigate me and question my whereabouts, who I talked to and if made any mobilization for any youth to raid Northlands’’ Ichungwa explained.

The legislator had earlier indicated that those sponsoring the demos will have to know that their properties will too be destroyed if they continue instigating violence in the country.

The Northlands farm was invaded, goats and other property stolen by rowdy youth who took advantage of Azimio La Umoja protests to storm the farm located along Eastern Bypass.

According to the security agencies, close to ksh. 70 million worth of property was lost in the raid.

When asked of the viral video, Ichungwa stated he was taken out of context and that that he was voicing the concerns of the people on ground.
