Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has continued his scathing attacks against President William Ruto and his government stating that tax cheats and criminals are with him in the government.
The former prime minister said this in rally conducted by the coalition in Kamukunji grounds ,Kibra, Nairobi today. The renewed claims are seen as a response to the recent comments by Kenya kwanza leaders that there are some individuals within Azimio coalition who have been evading tax.
Odinga lashed out at Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua to avoid meddling with tax affairs as there is a constitutional body called KRA which has a clear mandate to collect taxes from Kenyans.
“Ruto and his Deputy does not have the mandate to lecture us on taxes. Tax cheats and all sort of criminals are with him in government. We have Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) a body given mandate to collect taxes and the two illegitimate leaders who should pack and leave office. said Odinga.
The Azimio Coalition continued with campaigns to push Ruto out of the office stating that he did not win the August elections but subverted the will of people.
According to the Raila, the government is pushing the poor into further poverty albeit their promise of bottom up and a government of hustlers by Ruto and his regime and that is the reason they will push for reforms for the benefit of Kenyans.
Odinga and his troops will be Mavoko, Machakos to continue with their people consultative forums.
