His Excellency President Hon. William Samoei Ruto has joined his fellow countrymen in the mourning of the demise of Kenya’s former Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha.
Upon receiving the news about the death of Prof. George Magoha, confirmed on the evening of Tuesday 24th January, 2023, the Head of State shared his grief with Kenyans and most especially the bereaved family.
“I join Kenyans and people from other parts of the world in mourning the passing of Prof. Magoha. I also send condolences to his family.” He wrote.
In his long written condoling message, President Ruto described the late Prof. Magoha as a great servant of Kenya who was entirely gifted, unique and peripherally distinguished.
Having worked with the former KNEC chair during his post-graduate studies at the University of Nairobi (UoN) and at the government, President Ruto further confirmed the undying commitment and integrity of the late professor which he terms to had been distinctive.
He added, “Throughout his tenure, he evinced a commitment to high standards the public service and uncompromising integrity.”
As confirmed by mainstream family of Prof. Magoha, he died of cardiac attack, a few hours after he was admitted in Nairobi Hospital for treatment.
Since then, social media have been taken into moments of grief with the users on their phone and computer keyboards dropping memories and condolence messages.
