Meet Patience Masua, the 24-year-old Namibia’s Youngest Member of Parliament

Hon. Patience Masua completed her high school at Delta Secondary School Windhoek where she served as Deputy Head Girl in the Learners Representative Council.

 In April 2021, she was appointed Member of Parliament by President Hage Geingob following the resignation of Defence Minister Vilho becoming Namibia’s Youngest MP.

Masua previously served as the Secretary General of Namibia National Students Organization (NANSO) and as Speaker of Student Parliament of the University of Namibia (UNAM) SRC.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Honours in Law from the University of Namibia (UNAM) and a Certificate from International Humanitarian Law from Institute of International and Comparative Law in Africa.

The 24 year old MP is an Education Advocate, Youth Activist, Constitutionalist, Founder and Chairwoman of Patience Masua Foundation, a Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) alumnus and former Namibian Country Director of the Southern Africa Youth Forum (SAYOF).
