Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) Board Chairman Gilbert Kibe has resigned barely seven months after assuming the position.
In a letter dated December 2, 2022 addressed to President William Ruto, Kibe stated that the resignation is effective December 1,2022.
The former Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) Director General assumed CA board chairmanship on May 17, 2022 following his appointment by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The outgoing chair gave personal reasons as his reason for resignation.
“Due to personal interests that I wish to pursue, I hereby tender my resignation as Chairman of the Board of Communications Authority of Kenya with effect from 1 December 2022,” said Kibe.
Kibe was among several individuals appointed to chair various state corporations by the last administration for a three year period.
