Nigerians have been urged not to support murderous politicians in the next 2023 elections by former president Goodluck Jonathan.
“You must avoid voting for murderers in 2023. The enemies of civilization are those who will go out and murder people because of politics while carrying knives, guns, and various other weapons. If you kill to rise to the top, you will kill to stay there, Mr. Jonathan warned.
“The masses will keep going through pain. Make sure you vote for the appropriate candidates in Akwa Ibom State for the governor, Senate, House of Assembly, and House of Representatives.
This statement was delivered by the former president on Sunday during an interfaith service in Uyo to remember Akwa Ibom.
Prior to the 2015 elections, Mr. Jonathan advocated for one woman, one vote and said that his reelection was not worth the blood of citizens.
President Muhammadu Buhari was given power by Mr. Jonathan after he lost the election in 2015.
