Due to a broken navigation system at the primary airport in Liberia’s capital city of Monrovia, Brussels Airlines has canceled all of its flights to Liberia.
The airline with its base in Belgium said in a statement that it was crucial to conduct each flight in a safe, secure, and legal manner.
All affected passengers, according to the statement, will be notified.
The airline requested Roberts International Airport in Monrovia to abide with safety requirements “as quickly as feasible.”
The airline was the only one from the West to offer direct flights to Liberia.
A blackout on the runway caused one of its aircraft to almost crash land at the Monrovia airport in April.
